Crystal City is in the news a lot these days, as Amazon announced on Nov 13 that it will make the Arlington, VA neighborhood home to 25,000 new workers coming in over the next 10 years. Crystal City is situated in the southeast corner of Arlington, VA. It is only about a mile from Reagan airport and has a metro stop making it a very convenient area for commuting or those looking for walkability. It has a massive amount of office space making it a great place for Amazon to build a second headquarters. It is home to many shops, restaurants, apartment buildings and high rise condos. A large part of Crystal City is connected underground, a unique feature (wonderful in inclement weather) not seen often in this type of urban neighborhood. The neighborhood location will be renamed National Landing and includes portions of Pentagon City and Potomac Yard.
